At Colorado Therapy Care, Dr. Carrie combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative approaches and trauma specific treatments such as EMDR to give you the tools you need to get unstuck, feel better and move towards your ideal life.
Therapy starts on the premise that the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. In gaining more self-knowledge and awareness and acceptance, and learning the new strategies and tools you’ll use in therapy, you can take more control over your actions and life. Dr. Carrie takes good care to listen to your needs and guides sessions to work on your goals using proven techniques that really work.
Our ideal clients are people who are ready to feel heard and understood, want to make some changes and are willing to come in and explore what is is working and what isn’t going so well. You can expect to come in about once a week, or every other week, for between 5 to 10 sessions. We schedule times that work for you Monday-Thursday, at our comfortable, easy-to-get-to location in the Lower Highlands neighborhood in Denver.
